You must be at least 19 years old and working or volunteering in key stage 1 or above, for a minimum of 15 hours per week.
This level 3 work-based qualification provides you with an in-depth understanding of the knowledge and skills needed when working directly with children and young people in school and college environments. It covers all aspects of specialist support including planning; delivering and reviewing assessment strategies to support learning alongside the teacher; bilingual support; special needs support; and personal development and reflective practice. The qualification is assessed by being observed in the workplace and completing e-learning and written tasks. You need to be working in a suitable role for a minimum of 15 hours per week
